Design Thinking for Team Culture Co-Creation – Dragon Dreaming
CULTURE CO-CREATION FOR AGILE TEAMS
DESIGN THINKING & DRAGON DREAMING
NO AGILITY WITHIN A BURNOUT AND BOREOUT ATMOSPHERE
The team culture of tomorrow is team-made and co-created by the team itself. With ONE method, your team can achieve EVERYTHING about NEW WORK: autonomy, cooperation, diversity, democracy, community spirit, collective innovation, vitality and health-and everything beyond burnout.
THREE REASONS WHY YOUR TEAM WILL
BENEFIT FROM DRAGON DREAMING
SCRUM does not automatically mean more energy and vitality
Many companies are striving for “agility”. Maybe without knowing exactly what they really want. Keep in mind that “SCRUM” is just a method that does not necessarily lead to “experienced vitality and liveliness”. I want to understand your idea of ”agility” and offer you and your team an individual approach.
Why synergetic coexistence is vital?
Diversity and Generations Y and Z increase the potential for conflict in companies. This project methodology helps teams develop a constructive and vivid team culture together and self-determined, and maintain it in the long term. The innovative method serves as a map and self-control tool.
A culture that works is team-made
The new generation of corporate culture 4.0 is no longer “top-down” by HR or externally developed and specified. The teams themselves will develop them “bottom-up”. It will be more of an organic evolutionary process driven by the employees themselves.
The Project Methodology to make Team-Dreams come true
Today, in times of digitization and social innovation, Dragon Dreaming’s tools are perfect for teams to build their own team culture.
Dragon Dreaming was developed by John Croft and his wife Vivienne H. Elanta at the Gaia Foundation in Australia. John worked as an organization developer and project manager in Asia, Australia, Africa, the US and Europe. He began to research, why some project teams fail and others succeed outrageously. Dragon Dreaming as a Project methodology is a result of his analysis covers insights of chaos and complexity theory, systems theory, ancient Aboriginal wisdom, logic and intuition.
A WAY TO TURN WORK INTO PLAY
It provides simple, playful methods for brainstorming, planning, implementing and appreciating (completing) projects.
It is not just a colelction of tools and methods, it is supporting a natural process and it is a philosophy and attitude.
Dragon Dreaming provides methods to realize creative, collaborative and sustainable projects. It combines three key aspects:
- Dragon Dreaming lets us grow personally.
With Dragon Dreaming we not only learn new skills in our project work. Team members are encouraged to leave comfort zones (dancing with thier dragons). By this they can discover new aspects about themselves and deepen the contact with the purposeful life and the world.
- Dragon Dreaming promotes communities and team cultures.
Dragon Dreaming helps us create and grow trust within teams by paying special attention to communication and appreciation.
- Dragon Dreaming is in the service of the earth.
Dragon Dreaming promotes diversity, creativity and vibrancy. Dragon Dreaming is about sustaining life energy in us and around us.
LEARN & EXPERIENCE DRAGON DREAMING
Dragon Dreaming is an experience-based methodology, its effects can only be experienced. Similar to transformative communication, it also works on the three levels: individual, team and environment. Because it follows a natural process that exists in each one of us, many people feel touched emotionally. It is often noticeable to the participants directly in the workshop how the energy in the group increases dynamically.
The main target group are teams (department, executives, start-ups) who want to use the method as a self-steering tool to successfully achieve their goals and to jointly shape their culture. In addition, it is of interest to people in consulting and leadership who want to experience the importance of potential-oriented leadership and moderation for positive meetings, appreciative team communication and solution-oriented organizational development: change consultants, process facilitators, coaches, mediators, project leaders, team leaders, dialogue and communication experts, women and men in the management of departments and divisions.
